Freedom Preparatory Academy Charter Schools (www.freedomprep.org) is a K-12 charter school in Memphis, TN. Our mission is to prepare all students in grades K-12 to excel in college and in life. Freedom Preparatory Academy opened in August of 2009 with a class of 96 6th graders. We now serve over 1200 students in grades PreK-12. In just 9 years, our students have exceeded local and state averages in math and local averages in English language arts on the state exam.

JOB TITLE: Office Manager
ACCOUNTABILITY: Dean of Operations/Head of School

POSITION SUMMARY
The primary role of the Office Manager/Administrative Assistant is warmly greet visitors in person and by phone, maintain student records, track attendance, handle mail, assist students needing medical attention, and keep the front office running smoothly.
JOB EXPECTATIONS
The Office Manager/Administrative Assistant is responsible for keeping the front office running efficiently.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Make each visitor and caller to our office feel welcome and valued. Perform reception duties such answering phones, greeting visitors to our main office, and managing incoming and outgoing mail.
- Act as the main day-to-day interface with our back-office service provider, keep student attendance, and other aspects of school operations.
- Manage our food services for students by interacting with the food service provider.
- Maintain student records, including the physical files and electronic repositories of student information.
- Provide general office support and other support showing flexibility, initiative, and a willingness to pitch in.
- Attend to students and parents who come to the office.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
START DATE
An exceptional candidate will assume a full time role no later than July 2016. The position will remain open until filled.
